My original plan was to head to Florence after Venice but the city life really started to wear on me. My friend Brooke, who I met in Lake Como, suggested I tag along to check out Cinque Terra. I couldn’t have been excited!
I had heard of the gorgeous Cinque Terra and had seen pictures online so to have the chance to see it in person was thrilling. Cinque Terra consists of the five towns Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. We spent the first day hiking from Monterosso al Mare to Vernazza and then to Corniglia. We unfortunately couldn’t hike to the last two, Manarola and Riomaggiore. because of the landslide. Each town was gorgeous and had there own personalities though they all tied together greatly.
Our pre-hike treat was a Piña Colada on the beach and gelato that melted quickly in the hot air. After, we were ready for our hike!
The views were breathtaking and the hike built quite the sweat. So glad to cross this off my bucket list!
The night ended with a great dinner of pasta, salad and wine. It was the cherry on top of a great day!
